CREW golf outing
New at this
year’s CREW Detroit
golf outing: CREW’s Rent-A-Ringer program lets
golfers pay $10 to have a “ringer” take a shot for them at the tee or green of
non-prize hole. Proceeds will benefit
the ringer's charity of choice or they can be allocated to CREW's
charities of choice: Alternatives
for Girls (AFG) and CREW Foundation. Golfers can pre-purchase tickets (for use
with any ringer) online (https://www.registrationfactory.com/v3/?EventUUID=0B130EA0)
or at Fox Hills on
June 24, or pay a ringer $10 on the course.

Nominating Committee Needs You
It’s time
to start thinking about CREW Detroit
leadership for 2009 and beyond. We are
looking for volunteers to serve on the 2008 Nominating Committee, chaired by
CREW Detroit’s
Immediate Past President, Carol Ann Arvan of FX
Architecture. We are also looking for
CREW Detroit
members interested in serving on the 2009 board.
The
Nominating Committee will review the list of all submitted nominees, then
interview candidates, deliberate and compose the 2009 slate of officers and
directors between early July and early August.
It is anticipated the committee will only hold one meeting the week of
July 7, and will communicate via phone and email during the balance of the
one-month period.
Please note
Nominating Committee members will not be considered for an open CREW Detroit board
position. If you are interested in
joining the Nominating Committee or in submitting your name or someone else for
consideration as a 2009 officer or director, please contact Carol Ann Arvan at 248.586.0336 or caa@wowway.com
by June 23rd.

New quarterly "Breakfast with
the Board" networking
CREW Detroit’s board is introducing a series of informal
breakfast networking meetings hosted CREW Detroit
board members. The CREW Detroit
membership has been assigned to board members according to their work
locations. Each board member will host quarterly breakfast networking sessions
with this group of members, as a way of getting to know each other and finding
ways to support each other. It's also an opportunity for board members to hear
directly from CREW members about what's working and what's not working, so that
together we can grow the organization. Please join us!
