A TIME TO ENGAGE:
We need everyone to ask the candidates for state office tough questions and
vote in the upcoming elections in order to rebuild our state.
At www.MichiganTurnaroundPlan.com, we have
posted “The 10 Questions Every Voter Should Ask Candidates Running for State
Office.” The questions address the most urgent issues facing all Michiganders
– the economy and jobs. They are intended to provide voters background on
these issues and to serve as a tool that will help them make informed
decisions about this year’s elections. Voters are being made aware of the
questions through a statewide radio campaign.
Also, just as we did with gubernatorial candidates, we sent questionnaires to
each legislative candidate to gauge their level of support for the Michigan
Turnaround Plan. We identified each legislative candidate’s support for the
Michigan Turnaround Plan as strong, moderate, or weak based on their
questionnaire responses. Those answers are now posted on our website
for you to view at: http://www.michiganturnaroundplan.com/candidate-evaluations.php.
Not only will you find help on what questions to ask candidates running for
state office and what positions they have taken on the Michigan Turnaround
Plan website, but you will also find more ways to get engaged in turning
Michigan around.

We are in a time when innovation, creativity and technology are paramount to our success. The organizations you belong to are no longer nice caveats to add to your bio; they are your professional families filled with people who know that helping you helps them. If we are truly going to advance the success of women then we need to use advanced tools.
Our website is a membership tool designed to connect and educate our family. As a tool it is meant to be used…a lot. And through that use we will find ways to enhance this tool to make it even more efficient and effective. So I want your feedback, because our goal is to support and connect our members.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with your input.
Thank you, Nicole Dombrowski Communications Chair

CREW Network is pleased to introduce the 20th Anniversary Professional Lecture Series presented this year in celebration of CREW Network’s “20 Extraordinary Years." This lecture series features a variety of topics including leadership strategies and timely industry issues, and will provide key insights to help members stay competitive in this ever-changing economy. The first program in the series is “Construction Cost Drivers- Cause and Effect” and will be presented on February 26, 2009 as a teleconference. In a continually changing marketplace how do project teams assemble construction budgets they can have confidence in? This highly rated session from the 2008 CREW Network Convention in Houston will examine the budgeting process and provide insight into how costs are impacted based upon location, project type and even by outlying factors such as natural disasters and foreign market demands. The panelists will also discuss pricing fluctuation impacts on the overall budget. The program is complimentary to CREW Network members but space is limited so we urge you to sign up now for the first session. Click here for more information on how to sign up. |
